Do you think she is interested or just being nice?

We presently work together but please understand I’m leaving this job in a couple days so the whole “she’s a coworker” thing no longer applies FYI.

It’s worth noting I asked her what she was up too one weekend and she got red in the face and gave me a long explanation and I treated that as rejection despite not giving me a flat out no.. this was like 3-4 months ago.

Yesterday she asked to talk to me alone. She confided in me about something I won’t share here due to the nature of the subject but she seemed uncomfortable talking to me alone despite being the one to initiate it. When we did talk alone she seemed nervous. She usually has trouble looking me in the eye and sways a lot/ shifts her body language a lot from “I want to leave” to “I’m interested in the conversation”Before that she had made a few passing comments of seeing me again because of a food item whose recipe I’m taking with me (we work at a restaurant) as well as even possibly jumping ship to where I am working.

My soon to be not coworkers are throwing me a party and I think thats where I’m going to make a move but I don’t want to ruin my last night getting rejected lol so I wanted to gather some opinions before making the move. I thought about asking her out before the party but I’m not sure.

Also:
I almost always catch her giving me quick glances or flat out staring (same with her friends). She sometimes goes out of her way ti say hi to me and has complimented me a couple times. As stated before, I did ask her to hang once but it didn’t happen like 3-4 months ago but I’m wondering if she changed her mind or if she is just being overtly friendly for no reason?

Not being able to read the situation other than your details makes it hard to guess, but from what you say, I would go for it.

If she is taking the time to throw you a party, I would say that you should at least try. Also true about whatever she confided in you about. If it is truly that private, that to me sounds like a big deal and big step.

I think she likes you, but it seems more like a schoolgirl crush with butterflies and all of that. It is also possible that she finds you strange and wants to be nice. Another likely one is she is just really awkward over thinks, but likes you. Or she's just awkward. I'm not sure, this seems like something I would either need more info for or see myself

The strongest evidence of her interest is her request to speak in private with you. Since you have not shared those details (don't really know why not) then I can't comment further.

It wasn’t about an intimate topic but rather confiding in me about a very confidential work matter. Basically she trusts me a lot

Defo give it a try , make sure it’s only you 2 when you ask and be straight to it don’t. Half ask so you can get a defórnate answer
