Are guys intimidated by shy girls? Why don't they approach us?

Well ya the player will but that's the only type :( and those aren't always the best looking...nowadays as I'm getting older I think I'm getting more prettier and my self confidence is higher but guys haven't hit on me because of that I think..players don't even try anymore,what's going on?I'm a little less shy like I can continue a convo but id still never talk to people 1st in general..there's like a lot of good looking guys in my area but he'll look at me once or twice making eye contact but still doesn't approach...(some people say I walk arrogant but I can't help it)..I miss the old day back when I didn't even notice the guy and he would try to talk to me but then I dnt caz I had lower self esteem

The kind of guys that are often attracted to shy women are also shy themselves, and probably aren't approaching you for the same reason you aren't approaching them.

Just go talk to them instead of being all "aw woe is me!" seriously sitting around wallowing in your own self-pity doesn't do anything. You say guys don't wanna talk to you, but you never talk to them first - you don't see a connection there? Not all men are comfortable walking up to a random chick and shooting the breeze. Sorry, but suck it up and talk to a dude.

I nvr feel comfotable taking to a total stranger..that would be awkward and he probably will ignore me..last week I asked a cute guy for the time and he looked at me then went back on his phone..luckily his friend told me the time but he wasn't my type

Guys rarely feel comfortable in that role, either - but society throws us into it whether we want it or not. You gotta make like the shy guys and just put yourself out there. I had to do the same thing myself; I don't really like talking to people, but if you wanna meet someone then it's the inexorable truth that you will have to do it.

I like a shy guy in class but I think he's more shy than me he almost never talks in class..one thing I like about shy guys is that most are smart like me.but from what I see guys go for louder talkative girls

Haha, no, trust me, plenty of guys think loud, talkative chicks are awful. The dudes who like girls like that are probably obnoxious, too, anyway, so no loss there. I mean that's pretty much the opposite of what shy people like haha.

Ya I tend to lose interest in popular guys esp if they play a 'jock' sport like football or basketball or maybe baseball

It's possible that a girl can be so timid that it's unattractive. You come off as disinterested or snobby. That's how everyone sees you.

Try reaching out. Guys your age are terrible at reading subtle signs. You need to be obvious of you like a guy.

i have the same issue, they stare, smile, wink, say hi and try to talk to me a couple of times and than that's it, they give up

which pisses me off! I don't know why they becoe disinterested all of the sudden and I really wanna know how to keep them interested :S

That's my other problem keeing him intersted...I had a great convo with a guy last month and I felt comfortable talking to him even though I jus met him.it was at skool so I wouldn't ask for his # but the nex day we saw each other and said hi then. The week after he ignores me!

Eh, no. As a general rule, shy girls don't intimidate anyone, anywhere at any time. Ever.

Shy girls don't look interesting. In a club, they're usually standing next to a wall, sipping their non-alcoholic drink, afraid to dance and afraid of not being asked to dance and afraid of being asked to dance.

That just doesn't interest a guy. A guy doesn't look at a shy girl and think "Wow, I want to get to know her. I wonder what her story is?"
