Do guys maintain eye contct with girls they are attracted to?

I always thought guys always looked away when you would talk to them because eye contact was too awkward, especially with a shy guy.

But an older man at my work can keep very intense eye contact with my when I talk to him and he's really quiet and shy. I also catch him looking at me few times a day especially when he's talking to another women. Does this mean he finds me attractive?

what I've noticed with guys from my experience is that when it comes to emotions.. it is very hard for them to hide it away relative to girls... guys are an open book.. they can't hide it from their body language, the way they stare at you, playing with their hair etc but with girls who are attracted to a guy.. its not as noticable.. so take him staring at you a bit as a little bit of attraction and if he does it a lot and goes out of his way to stare at you... he obviously has a thing for you. But your situation based on what you have said.. there's not enough body language or signs to show that this guy is into you.. he could just be really friendly or like talking to girls

I think the more confident ones definitely would, but the shyer guys may get intimidated by a girl they find attractive and as a result have problems maintaining eye contact.

From the sounds of that guy at your work though, I think it's safe to say he's probably into you if he's staring that intensely at you a lot of the time.

this guy stared at me with intense eye contact too... he did not blink i couldnt look at him. Its weird, so who knows, he might find u attractive.

Hi, well I am a shy guy, when I think you're cute or attractive...I look but can't maintain eye contact, infact after eye contact...i can't look back for a while as I think she might still be looking. So when we do look, we're interested and no we may not maintain eye contact the whole time. As long as you notice the look more than once, we're interested. Smile already :)

No, I don't think it matters, as some older or mature people maintain eye contact regardless. Umm I can't even maintain eye contact with same sex person loll forget about a girl I am interested

I do it sometimes. It's only for like 2-3 seconds though. It's not too long but also not too short. That said I'm a shy guy and I find eye contact awkward but I still do it regardless. :\

Girls love it when a guy can hold eye contact cause it shows confidence so I generally do it with girls I find attractive. I would probably be less likely to hold eye contact with a girl I'm not attracted to cause I'm not as concerned with trying to see if she is interested.

I always make eye contact, it's a good way to let the other person know you are interested in what they are saying. The ones who can't do that are either shy or socially awkward.
