Do girls like eye contact?

Lately, I've been wondering about whether or not eye contact is an effective way to show kindness and display confidence when talking to women. For as long as I can remember, I've always had trouble maintaining eye contact with women because of how shy I can be. And while I know this isn't the right thing to do, I sometimes end up stonewalling women even though I don't mean to and sometimes my interactions with women can be, for lack of a better word, cold. I suspect that can make me seem intimidated and uninterested. However, lately I've been getting into the habit of making eye contact with every woman that I come across and end up having a conversation with, and I naturally just end up smiling too because of how shy I can be. It seems like women like it and usually end up making eye contact and smiling back at me. Do women really like eye contact and a smile during a conversation? I have a few pictures posted on my profile to give you an idea of what I look like if it helps (I'm actually smiling and looking at the camera in one of them). I would love to hear any feedback. :)

If you make eye contact and smile at someone, they will usually smile back. Doesn't even have to be in a conversation; could be the person sitting next to you on the bus or someone you pass in the hallway. It feels good to smile, and it's contagious. Which means the more you smile, the more people want to be around you, including women you are interested in.

Just make sure you're relaxed enough that your eye contact doesn't turn into to glaring at her.

yeah we do also I would say let the person know your shy or else they will think that you are cold and not interested in them when talking look them in the eyes smile laugh if a joke is really funny but don't stare for to long just stare long enough so they know you are listing to what they are saying

eye contact is definitly a plus. smiling too! just being overall more confidant will attract more women.

too much eye contact is creepy. give subtle eye contact. don't make her feel like you're staring into her soul
