What is it about shyness in guys that girls find so endearing?

In my conversations with my female GAG friends, whenever shyness comes up, most of them say that shyness is "cute", "adorable", etc. I never really thought to ask, but why is that, though? Why is shyness so attractive?

Well because I don't know its like a puppy wiht big brown eyes, you just want to take shy guys home and cuddle with them. They aren't threatening, as long as they aren't extremely awkward. Its just like sweet, I don't know how to explain it. It depends on my mood shy guys are endearing so I think a lot more of us trust them to be lyal and true to us in part because they are so shy even if that may not be the case. But yeah most times I like outgoing manly aggressive types but the shy guys are just so sweet and nice.

Yeah, they are sweet and nice, but do they turn you on? Do you actually get wet thinking about all the hot things you and your shy guy could be doing together behind closed doors? Does his shyness make you sexually attracted?

Most shy guys, myself included, want to feel desired. We don't just want to be thought as being cute or endearing, we want to make a woman think about doing naughty things with us. Usually, women will say that only confidence will make her swoon for a man.

So let's say that shy boyfriend does start to flirt with you, maybe turn on some sexual energy. Would that be enough for you to consider him hot and sexy or would his shyness still make you feel endearment?

i think a lot of women say that in theory but in reality a shy guy either comes off awkward, insecure, or like he's not interested. I don't mind a quiet guy if that's his natural personality, but shyness suggests insecurity and that it'd be harder to get to know him. if I already liked the guy then I could see how it would be endearing, but overall a shy guy usually loses out to a guy who isn't so shy

Perhaps the sort of guy a girl who doesn't actually want to do anything with has a crush on. Which might as well be friend zone except you pay for dates, don't get to hit on other women and instead of people teasing you about not getting laid, they assume you are, and only you know your life sucks.

As long as he's not like socially awkward shy, then it can be cute. Shy guys aren't usually cocky, which is good. And once you get to know them, they're generally very funny and open, and they listen very well.

I think it's endearing if he's shy AND he's making the effort to overcome that shyness. Yeah, it might be awkward, but the fact that he's willing to try to overcome the Awkward is what makes it endearing. A guy who's a "player" will walk up and talk to anyone. But if a shy guy walks up and talks to you- it means you're special. Girls like to feel special :)
