Why do you girls avoid good looking guys? Help

I am a rather shy guy but I have good fashion sense and I am tall. I have been told that I am good looking. Girls look at me and just stare. Yet when I approach and try to make conversation they act like I'm not there.

I'm quite hurt especially since I'm shy and pluck up lots of courage just to approach then I get shot down like that. Girls why do you treat good looking guys like the plague?

Just because you are admiring something doesn't mean you want to involve yourself with it.

I have checked out guys many times, and thought "He's cute". But that is where it ended. I would never want to pursue anything further (because I wasn't at that point in my life, where I was ready for a relationship).

The point is, to keep your courageous attitude and keep approaching girls. Its bound to be, that one of these girls want the same thing that you do. Don't let girls reactions being a major set back.A lot of women like men that take the initiative and make the first move. You'd only be hurting yourself if you sat in your corner and didn't approach any one anymore.

When you do put yourself out there, rejection is only a part of it. Soon doors will open, and you will find those that are willing to give you a chance. When you approach a woman it is 50/50, there is no guarantee that she will give you that opportunity.

All you can do now, is really work on what you say to these girls.

Maybe it isn't the right things.

When you walk up to them, compliment them, then introduce yourself.

Tell them you'd like to hang out sometime (to better know them) and want to exchange numbers.

Cut right to the chance.

No beating around the bush (some girls don't like their time to be wasted).

I ever tried your approach once and it worked! The girl I approached was blushing and smiling with all her teeth exposed. A few of my female friends thought this manner of approach was hot and the way to go too.

Hmm. It's an interesting question.

In general, when a guy looks at you in that discombobulated way, you know you have a lot of power at that moment and it's often hard to just refuse it. The easiest way is to not look...not acknowledge that it's there. It's the easiest way for a girl to let a guy off the hook.

If a girl is staring at you but then doesn't pay attention to you once you're right near her, then she's waiting for you to "make the first move" and it's up to you to take it or leave it. She is giving you the power to make that decision, to attract her and turn her on... It's sort of standard from what I've noticed.

I'm not sure what you mean by "shot down" -- you approach and they reject you? There may be a personality clash or something else if that's happening. I don't have enough detail to offer a more informed explanation there...

i try to talk to them and lighten the mood with smiles and stuff, not those creepy smiles or tasteless jokes. They reply with stern face as if trying to act disinterested and such... I doubt they were really disinterested otherwise why would they stare in the first place?

They may stare because there's something they're trying to figure out about you. I occasionally get lost staring at certain things -- admittedly not people -- till someone snaps me out of it. Maybe you're taking too long to get to the girl? Hang in there and keep trying.

Either staring at her too long or just taking too long to get to where she is and speak to her.

I saw a good looking guy yesterday, I'm assuming he was a model he was perfect all around and tall too. But he just stared at me and I looked away cause I got nervous. If he spoke to me I think I would ignore him too, I wouldn't know what to say to him, plus he's a giant and very intimidating to be next to.

lol I've been scouted for modelling before although I turned down cos I thought it didn't suit my personality. I'm a simple guy probably trapped in a jerks body and it's not helping me haha.

maybe you're boring to them and they get disappointed, whatever it is. Don't assume it might just be your look

It might be the overall energy that you give out, or whatever. Boring conversation could simply from your voice tone or asking boring questions. I don't know what you do, since I'm not there. Don't automatically think it's your looks though...

good looking guys are sometimes deemed by girls to be intimidating, plus your height would probably add on to the intimidation.

i know some girls also stay away from goodlooking guys because they have this stupid notion that goodlooking dudes are jerks, or that they think these guys have a lot of attention as it is so they don't wanna feed their ego etc.

no idea. people find different things intimidating for various reasons. personally I don't find height intimidating, but I know a couple of girls who do.
