Just minor chat when he caught you finally alone - without your girlfriends.

But when he sees you sitting at a table with your girlfriends in the cafeteria (mind you, this is college, so your age is 20+), you don't speak to him nor give him eye contact.

He's left to small talk with your girlfriends.

Is this normal for shy girls?

...this is one answer to "How to tell if a girl likes you?" Seems like I have my work cut out for me to understand you girls :) I stopped talking to her because I thought she wasn't interested anymore - she never, after that, came to talk to me, so basically we're not speaking ... darn it.

Look, not every girl is the same and flirts in the same way. We can only tell you what WE would do. All I'm saying is that if I like a boy I will ignore him. For example: a few days ago my crush was talking to a friend, so I decided to join the conversation but ONLY greeted his friend, which was of course stupid and I could tell he felt locked out. Apart from that, his friend now thinks I'm into HIM, which is NOT true. That's the kind of sh*tty stuff I do when I really really like a boy. Thus, continue talking to her! If she wants you to back off, she'll tell you, but I regard that as highly unlikely.
