Widening of the eyes when talking to someone?

What does it mean if anything? This girl was talking to me giving me eye contact, but her eyes seemed to widen, does it/ could it mean anything in body language terms?

from a body language viewpoint, I would think widened eyes would indicate heightened interest

i have noticed I widen my eyes when talking to guys I'm attracted to or even a close friend if they something funny or interesting
