Women.. Do you ever purposely ignore a guy you like?

Question

Im not talking about after you get to know them, but if you find a guy that you like in a bar, class, public or whatever, do you ever completely avoid making eye contact for a reason? Or do you just do it because of some other reason? Or is everywomen different? Is it shyness maybe?
This is kind of hard to ask, but it's when a girl will look pretty much look at everything in your direction but not you.

I will dare say every woman is different because I have girl friends that are completely different from me. When I like a guy I make eye-contact with him and work my way into his attention until he makes a move or I dare making a move. But that's because I'm not shy or maybe I've had enough alcohol to get rid of the shy me.

However, there is a friend of mine that will avoid the attention because she's shy and wouldn't know how to handle things. That's just her, but then again, she's almost 27 and still a virgin and hasn't had a boyfriend ever... I act based on this simple motto "Don't waste your time". It's okay to play hard to get, but not impossible to get.

That is the definite sign of being shy. They could be looking at you but then quickly look away. (I know that seems obvious but it's true.) Sometimes, we ignore them when they say something we can't relate to. Like once, my crush said that it was so beeping hot outside, and I ignored him because the conversation seemed awkward.
There are days when we feel totally confident making eye contact and some days we feel we can't make eye contact. I think she's just shy. Just try to get to know her maybe.

That's just being shy. We're afraid of approaching you and coming across like an idiot. However, it could be something else, too. For example, in my case, I'm pretty sure the guy I like has a thing for another girl, so me not approaching him is me backing off from the situation because I don't want to interfere and just get hurt in the process.

look down: she's shy! Approach her.
look up: She feels 'superior than you', move on. arrogant.
look side: She feels the same level as you, look for other body languages.

Yes I have in several very different situations. Mostly I do because I'm shy and don't know what to say or do. The other time was with a guy friend who I liked but couldn't have. He gave me a lot of attention, we connected, and I developed feelings for him. I was always initially attracted to him but realized it'd be inappropriate if I ever made a move or showed him my feelings so I pushed him away and ignored him to help myself get over him.

Yeah I do it sometimes. Like if I notice a cute guy smiling at me, I might make a little smile back. But then will avoid eye contact because of shyness or fear of what could be maybe. So don't let the lack of eye contact make you think she's not interested, she could just be shy :p

If you even get the feeling that she's ignoring you then she probably is and it's most likely because she wants you to notice her not looking at you in hopes that you'll go over there and get her attention that she is trying not to give you at the moment. You know what I mean?

Usually when I see guys I like, it intimidates me. You don't know what they are thinking about you, or what's going on in their minds. Rarely women will go to the guy and start conversation. But it would be good for a guys to make the first move. If she doesn't respond then shake it off. There is plenty of fish in the sea.

I do think it's different for all personalities or people. If I'm near my crush I look away and act normal. I don't want the guy to see me look at him because he might think I like him. I guess my problem is rejection. That and eye contact is really awkward to me. If a girl or guys pupils are dilated when looking at u they might really like u or really hate u, it's a scientific fact I thought I'd throw in. Hope I helped ??

Either she's shy or playing coy. Most of us look at least a few times, at each person, but the one I find most attractive, I look when they're not looking. If they catch me, I'll look a centimeter more to the left or right at something by them. It's iust so we don't seem too interested, we observe, and we don't wanna seem creepy if you're that attractive to us.

Yeah. A big one for me is if I see a guy I like walking in the hall, I look at him from a ways away but once we're close enough I stare ahead and don't look his way. I won't say hi to a guy I don't talk to and if I look at them and we make eye contact I blush and it's just really awkward. And if he's walking with some guy friends then I really won't look at him because I feel like if I blush or something they'll make fun of me and I'll become the laughingstock of their whole social group.
