I got inspired!

A question about why she struggled in the dating world.

A part in her story is being unlucky. But upon further digging I found out that her mother put up very specific criteria for men that she's allowed to date. Since she is older than me, I say she's old enough to make her own decisions, but as the good daughter she is, she follows the mom with no question and wonders why she struggles.

Putting that truth on the table, hurt her. And she doesn't at all agree with my stance on it. In the end, I tried. We can only give the tools, it's up to them to pick them up and use them.

A simple question. Why do I struggle with XXXXXXXX. No matter what the problem is, you've got to be open to the opinions that people put there. People want to help you, but they can only help you if you want to be helped. And for that you need to be openminded

Fighting a depression for example is very hard, because the answer lies within you. The change has come FROM you. And that's a mighty hard pill to swallow (the quote of the day!), because we don't want to admit that we are wrong and need correcting.

Honesty is a gift, a luxury, don't push it away. If you really want the problem solved, you should consider all the possible solutions. You may not like what they say, but that doesn't mean that it's necessarily untrue.

Swallow that pill, and make the game of life slightly easier to play.
