Haha great take, I can name a few examples of guys that fit into each of these categories. Why can't all guys have most of the viewpoint 1 for the first few lol

@LightsOff Ok just read it. Wow didn't realize that there a lot of creepers out there. I thought it happened very rarely and that girls were overreacting.

@LightsOff is that why women appear to always have a forcefield up when I approach them?

Is there something I can do to make myself seem less threatening?

If you approach them in non-social settings then yes, that is probably why. Approach them in a social setting if you don't want to seem like a creep. A social setting = at work, at school, at a party, at a meetup or gathering of some sort, at a concert/festival/game, on a trip, etc. You get the picture. Approaching any random stranger completely out of the blue when they don't expect it will mean that they'll have their guard up and will be wary of you. But in a social setting they will be relaxed and more open to getting to know strangers.

@LightsOff Social settings are when I'm most nervous. I feel like if I mess up than everybody sees. That's why I prefer to minimize the embarrassment by making it tête à tête.

That's ok, nobody expects you to be completely flawless when you interact with strangers, that's why it's ok to be a bit awkward or nervous.

Would you rather think you're cute for being a bit awkward/nervous, or would you rather have her feel scared of you because you approached her out of nowhere and intruded her personal space?

@LightsOff Scared? I'm not a big scary monster, you are making out to look far more threatening than I am. I'm a skinny tall guy with no muscle. The only person I'm a threat to is myself.

You don't have to be a monster to be scary, nor do you have to have muscles. Approaching a girl out of the blue is simply creepy and most girls will be very wary of you unless you do it in a social setting.

@LightsOff I think you are giving a very broad sense of catcalling here. What I consider catcalling is cowardly harassment. That means a person is walking down the street, and then someone screams "Hey look at that ass". Then you walk a bit more and someone else looks at you sideways and says "Gee did it hurt when you fell from Heaven?".

That's catcalling for me. It doesn't apply to approaches. I don't think that someone coming up to you and saying "Hey I just wanted to say you are pretty beautiful" should be considered harassment, catcalling, or anything of the sorts. I do that all the time when I'm visiting a foreign country, simply because I don't know anyone, I don't have a job there, I don't know where the parties are, etc. I can't wait for those social situations because they don't exist for me yet.

Therefore I'm strongly against the broad use of "catcalling" you are employing here.

@ilostmynewunicorn where did I call any of this catcalling? The first post I wrote under his opinion was directed at him wanting to be catcalled himself. The rest was me explaining why girls might feel wary of strangers approaching them. I didn't label it catcalling.

i have another view for periods:i know she is suffering, but that doesn't gives her the right to be a giant asshole to everyone and blaming it on hormones. i will try my best to please her, but i won't put up with being physically and verbally abused

Ah damnit. I definitely did. Well, since you brought it up.

      5. Getting Ready To Go Out

Viewpoint 1: Oh for the love of God, hurry up. We are already 10 minutes late, for Christ's sake. You should have started getting ready sooner than this (although, you did start 40 minutes ago).

      Viewpoint 2: ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Oh hey honey! You look amazing! Are you ready to go? No? What do you still have to do? Can I help? No? Ok, well I'll be waiting here. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

Viewpoint 3: Holy shit, she's ready before me... aaaaand she's a mess. Like, at least do something with that frizzy hair, instead of just letting it lay. I mean, come on, we are going to a wedding and she can't even take the time to clean up?
