We're in high school. I knew he dated a lot of different girls, and that he wasn't just holding their hands, but I never thought he was just using them. His sex life is none of my business, but I was disturbed to learn that I was probably the only person that didn't know about his reputation. Now I understand why so many people were shocked to find out we were friends.
Every time we went somewhere together, people would give us funny looks and ask what I was doing with him. I always laughed about it since I'm a quiet girl that keeps to myself, and he's an outspoken, handsome guy. I thought that was all it was. I thought I was so lucky to be friends with him. He never tried to take advantage of me or make a move. That's why when I found out about his reputation, I was shocked.

After another one of my friends told me about everything he had been doing, I felt blind, stupid, and embarrassed. My family had said there was something off about him. My other friends had hinted at what he was like. One of my teachers had even asked me what I was doing with him. I can't believe I didn't know what he was like after being friends with him for so long. Another one of my friends told me that once he was showing off all the girls that Snapchatted him. There was over 20 and most of them were sending nudes. I can't believe I didn't see what he was like.
What's worse was that I didn't just stumble across this information; one of his relatives told me about the "action" my friend was getting, assuming I knew about it. I know he's not obligated to talk about his sex life with me, but when I don't know that my best friend is doing it with every single girl he's with, changing them like clothes and has that kind of a reputation, there's something wrong. This might make him look cool to others, but I have lost all respect I have for him. I don't want to be friends with a player.
