There is only Alpha and Beta. The rest of all this is gobbledy-gook. :) Your pink MOH was a very good comment. But she missed the part about wanting to see plenty of $$ in her choice for a man. LOL She said 'heart'. pfft. Guys are simply just not like girls. Period.

Insecurega- A man who is so insecure that he feels the need to put himself and others into made-up categories, and furthermore doesn't realise there's more than 6 types of men. 7 billion people, roughly 3.5 men, only fitting into 6 measly categories? And can't you agree that a man can be more than 1, thus making the label redundant and incorrect?
Imagine a man who didn't need a label or was able to not be only ONE of 6 categories. Now thats's an attractive man.

So you believe in your star sign personality too, or nah?
I don't think alpha's or sigma's really give a damn about these categories, or go out looking for them for validation. So maybe there's your answer.
It's generalised but a vague model of what is apparent in society; hierarchies exist afterall and they wouldn't function if there wasn't a varied pool of personality types, right?
Bro why even miss out on theta while we are at it?
Bring in the whole Greek alphabet, yup.
Seriously though, good post but these things don't bother me at all.

This seems like the same methodology behind saying there are more than two genders. I get where you are coming from but a lot of what you define as the other four are seen in the other two. For example being manipulative is a common tait in both beta and alpha guys. Beta guys manipulate women so that they can hopefully get a leg over via thier nice guy persons and an Alpha guy will manipulate a woman to think he is hot shit to get a leg up very despite the fact he is generally quite vapid.
Huh this is a very interesting article, I have never known males to be so complex , now I'm wondering if there is a personality quiz to see which one I would fall under... even though I'm female, but hey we don't have something this interesting so there!
Fun pastime, I guess. Didn't know there were six, they'll come up with a few more shortly, I'm sure. The sigma somewhat hits close to home, but I'm not contemptuous of women neither do I bear ill will toward others, by default at least. I don't play by the rules, that's true and I have an extremely (un) healthy tendency toward being sarcastic and a smartass.
Flouxa-Male. These individuals are easily recognized by their crippling depression and addiction to social media. In appearance they are skinny enough to easily hide behind a bamboo tree, making them excellent at hiding from pandas. Another one of their defining characteristics is their strange obsession with dolphins.
I see how this might be helpfully in a general sense, but it seems too limiting. According to this I am the Alpha of my company, a Delta with certain clients, and pretty much an Omega in my personal life. I suspect a lot of men probably have cross definitions depending upon the specifics of the situation.
Classifying people into groups and then assuming that you understand their behavior on the basis of the group membership is called prejudice or stereotyping.
The only people who believe in things like this are those with identity issues. No offense to anyone, but really, don’t buy this crap. It’s hollow and won’t help you to build/discover your identity in any meaningful/successful way.
hangon. someone posted recently that there were 5 types of men. so 5x6 means there are 30 types of men. assuming some of those men have blonde hair and some have dark, that means there are 60 types of men. assuming some like pepsi and some like coke, that means there are 120 types of men. assuming some like football and some like cricket, thats 240 types of men. assuming some like cars and some like bikes, thats 480 types of men. basically, go on like this until you have 7 billion divided by 2
The point is, this is all bullshit. Someone has too much time on their hands. You do not need to put men, or anyone, into groups with labels in order to be attractedpive to women. This smacks of pre-identity politics. Put everyone in a specific group, decide what is most desirable, then check boxes, look for the places wher they cross over, or intersect. Intersectionality, another fancy word that “woke” assholes use.
The thing is, most of these terms originate from a serious scientific domain but, like a lot of scientific terms, they have been used by idiots who know nothing about science beyond 1+1=2 so they stripped these terms of their original meaning to make them fit their own ideas/agenda...
Just by reading the first paragraph, I can already tell you taking part into this idiocy so your take only maintains these stupid misconceptions.
You do realize this whole alpha beta omega and so on is all bullshit right. You have to go by a person’s personality to know if you click with them or not. Me i just dont give a fuck enough to care what people think. If they want to hang then fine if not fuck ‘em. The only opinion that matters to me are my own and my girl demi everyone else can fuck off
In my very honest opinions, I think humans ned to het rid of these categories, these are all a result of dysfunctional societal structure and what I say non-egalitarian values and beliefs.
Here's an unpopular opinion. I don't give a rat's ass what these labels are, or what they mean. They mean the same to dudes nowadays as Zodiac signs do to women, an that shows where our society has reached.
I'm fascinated with psychology and this post got my attention. If this is true and there are real, honest research and sources behind this, I'd like to see it. If this is accurate, I'd be a mixture of Omega and Gamma.
I didn't realize that there was more than just alpha or beta. I think that many men seem to fall into either of the two categories but thank you for the different perspective. I will keep it in mind. :-)

damn I thought you were talking about mutants, but instead your generalising an entire gender.
lol this is true. And you do like alpha males duhh
@iamnotkj really, prove it?
Huh this is a very interesting article, I have never known males to be so complex , now I'm wondering if there is a personality quiz to see which one I would fall under... even though I'm female, but hey we don't have something this interesting so there!
Girls love alpha males

Categories are needed in a wider sense but when you go too far it becomes silly.
Personality traits define people better.
Want a more precise category use people's names.
Names are the most precise category there is.
Instead of, here is my friend he is a beta male who is alphabetsexual.
Use, here is Steve he is a bit introverted but friendly.

After reading this, you would have learned at most 6 Greek letters, and nothing about actual psychology or personalities.
