I can't say I understand the part about the porn and the "obviously a frightening experience for an inexperienced average male," like being sexually stimulated isn't frightening.
Anyway, other than that, I think this is a good Take. You've brought up several good and true points.
Does this mean I'm not an average guy for not being scared of women? I grew up with 5 sisters so I've never felt uncomfortable around girls and in some ways I understand girls better than most guys. I dunno, is that really just me?
Beautiful women stop becoming scary when
1) you stop thinking with your dong
2) you reframe it as you being the prize
Neither of which are easy though.
When I was still emotionally a little boy, they did. When I finally grew up, they stopped scaring me at all. What the hell? The worst they can do is shoot me down in public, and then I can turn it into a big "Joke's on me!" moment. If I do it right, I could make her laugh, then I could be back in the game.
But that was before I got married. Now I don't anything with anyone but her.
For me "beautiful" women are more disgusting than scary. At least many of the ones I've seen. They are often arrogant, rude, and disrespectful. Mortals may not approach them.
I forgot to add, impossibly high-maintenance, unreasonably demanding, and crudely insensitive, with fat instead of tissue in their hearts and ice in their blood.

Eh, there's always somebody prettier. What are you really worth if a guy dates you and finds out you suck 5 minutes later and runs away? You think guys don't gossip? Hot guys want hot women a lot of times yes, so in that case, any little thing offputting about you *cough personality* makes you less hot attractive period. Not sure if you have ever heard of "Bros before hoes" but most men, at least the smarter ones, acknowledge it. Even the dumber ones, we all have a bro code and men will look out for our interests. If you just use your looks to get by but have no value besides it, you aren't in our interests, therefore, you are not worth our time. Men make money and often work hard for it, so that investment must be well spent. If you can't offer much and offer nothing when 40, you aren't a good investment.
Now that isn't to say that some hot guy may go out with you and even marry. Sure, guys hot or not are more than desperate to fuck. But not so much this "settling down" fantasy, unless they can control you quite a bit. It's easier to fuck you through tinder then move on and settle down with a woman that has actual skills. Reality too is, women have to have SOMEWHAT of a decent personality to be worth their while. Why go with you when there are women out there WAY more attractive AND friendlier AND smarter? Smart men too will realize looks die when somebody is 40 and can change in a second. Can't imagine your stream of tears, should tomorrow, you have something happen to your face. Then what?
