Tbh he's right, MOST guys don't care, not all but a vast majority of them. As long as she has a job and isn't a gold digger it doesn't really matter compared to looks or personality. It seems some people are offended by this truth because its generally the opposite for women, they do care about social status.

I actually try to stay away from girls with fame. I just want a normal girl, not some actress/model. But I do prefer the dominant women in their friend groups. Its just sexy for a women to have power.

No, but generous men who want to provide for a woman and make her life easier do. When a woman is happy (feels secure and loved/desired) with a man, she wants to have his babies. It's just as natural as it is for a man to want a fertile looking woman. Of course women are also attracted to physical traits, but mostly frame size and muscles for obvious reasons.

Anyway, it's still shallow. Money doesn't make a person. Money doesn't make a man. It's just money. Guys at large don't find money sexually attractive.
Both money and appearance have very little to do with personality. Both are shallow, but we can't help what we're attracted to right? I wanted to explain WHY many women still prefer wealthy or at least financially stable men even if they make their own money. Women tend to avoid talking about it and men label it as shallow without thinking.
Yeah I already know the crummy irrational explanation for it. A lot of guys refer to that mindset as "gold-digging" because it's crummy and irrational, not because we don't understand it.
And no, *physical* attraction preferences aren't shallow-- they're normal. I don't know why you're putting something that is completely unrelated to money... together with money.

Application of the word "shallow" implies that it's somehow atypical or abnormal behavior. You're basically saying that human nature is shallow, or something. I'm not really sure. It would be abnormally shallow to be with someone only because they're rich or good looking while a normal person just might not give a chance to someone based on those things. For women, it's normal to prefer wealthy men and like you pointed out if it's not abnormally shallow, there's no point in calling it shallow at all I guess.
