The way we are

There are plenty things that are considered 'manly' by men. Some of these things include: fixing a car, shooting a gun, or building something with our own hands. We do these things because we enjoy doing them but they also connect us to a part of ourselves. It tells us that we are self-sustaining person that doesn't need someone else's help to get something done. So what's wrong with that? It's who we are and there is no other way many men would have it.

Women just don't understand

You can't really expect the opposite sex to understand ever facet of masculinity but what have we done to deserve this? Women have taken it upon themselves to deface men who do manly things, naming it as toxicitiy. There are women who don't go this far but even to them the thought that men must mantain their masculinity is a joke. To them it is just a pitiful attempt to impress them into letting you sleep with them, so they laugh you off. Other men just think you're foolish for trying to prove yourself to be more respected by other macho men and they just shrug you off and laugh too.

But the world needs masculine men

As much as women would like to have men be sensitive and go shopping with them like one of their girlfriends, that just can't happen. They're not going to be very happy with their over-sensitive men when their window shatters or their door gets kicked in, in the middle of the night. The truth is we need men to fight and die in war, we need men to go into burning buildings to rescue women, children, dogs and cats. We need men to build 80 story skyscrappers and bridges that go for miles. Yeah a woman could technically do all of that, but would you really? We've been trying to stay tough and dirty our entire lives but for what? So when shit hits the fan and you need people, you've already got people. Everyone loves a real masculine man then, but not anytime else anymore.

Since you are 17 maybe girls your age still go for the cute, boyband type, because they're safe, non threatening. But adults prefer masculinity in men

I agree with @PineappleBreath. anyone who's gonna knock down your door in the middle of the night has a weapon. A girl with a gun stands a better chance against the intruder than an unarmed guy.

Also, I literally don't know a single girl who wants men to abandon all their "masculine" interests and go shopping instead. Not. A. Single. One. Girls may want their bf to shop with them, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't mean they despise masculinity and want it to die out.
furthermore you can be sensitive and still know how to fix a window. Being handy with a toolbox doesn't deprive you of emotions.

We like Building bridges and big buildings! we like fighting fires and saving people, we like shooting guns and getting loud sometimes! we like getting dirty in the garden and taking care of our lawns
Also as far as construction goes i am pretty sure 90% of that workforce is male if not more... Men built and continue to build the world around us... Construction workers should be respected greatly, i usually find people who look down on them, i come from a family full of construction workers, carpenters, masons, and ranchers/farmers and all those men were respectable hardworking individuals he fed my ancestors

I'm probably going to get some shit for stating my opinion on this but I'm going to state it anyways, I don't believe in gender stereotyping. Men are not the only ones who can fix or build things with their hands. I'm a woman and I have fixed doors and helped my dad fix cars before and I know women who have built houses and furniture all by themselves with out help from anyone. sensitivity doesn't make a man or a woman weak or feminine and to me is actually a beautiful trait to have in some ways. women can and have fought and died for our country and saved men and women in burning fires, just like there are stay at home dads who cook and clean while the mom goes to work. Both genders are capable of doing anything they want to be capable of and this does not make someone more masculine or feminine. We Are All Equal.

In my experience women that I meet want a masculine man in their life and enjoy the comfort and freedom that brings in allowing them to be feminine. It's only politicians and the media that have a problem with men being masculine and women being feminine.

All of my relationships when I was younger failed because I wasn't being masculine. Women are made to test a man so they can find a strong one. If you you're always doing what your woman wants to do because you're afraid of losing her, that's feminine and she'll lose interest and be angry with you.

The vast majority of women out there want a masculine man. Occasionally she will test you if she senses weakness, but it's only a test, and if you refuse to give up your masculinity even it means losing her then her attraction for you will grow, not diminish.

A guy can be a writer, painter, dancer, singer, banker, engineer, doctor or ANY fucking thing he wants to be. He doesn't need to build story skyscrappers and bridges to prove his masculinity.
Some guys like shopping. Some guys like cooking, teaching, etc.
A masculine man is the one who treats a woman as equal. Who can compromise a little for her (And so can she). Who will go out with her on dates. Who will love her with all his might. Who will tutor his children sometimes. Who can be childish for a woman sometimes. A guy who goes in the war is good, and so is the guy who is not related to military or building things.

how about guys that are masculine but can be a bit of the sensitive kind, and as far as I've seen most guys i know prefer to be the one doing grocery shopping

most guys still do 'masculine' jobs/hobbies (except gun shooting since its not openly allowed here anymore due to a certain current presidents fear of assassination)
