Why do guys go quiet when I walk past?

This seems to be happening quite often/i'm noticing it more as i used to ignore it.

basically, when I am out at the shops and there's a group of guys they'll just go quiet mid conversation when i walk past like i don't know is it just a coincidence and i am being self conscious?

It also happens at work ill be walking or get up from my desk and they will just all stop mid conversations whilst i walk away I'm starting to think they're making fun of me all the time.

I'm an 18 year old female (not 25 as it says above) . before anyone says "oh you're fishing for complements" I am really not. i just want to know why? is this a common thing?

or is it a coincidence and I am being overly self conscious as sometimes i can "feel" them staring at me if that makes any sense haha

sorry its so long just a bit stressed as getting overly self conscious over probably nothing. grateful for opinions

Well clearly you safely assume you got their attention and I think you are cute. I mean seriously if this is common thing that happens most of the time then its obvious they think you are cute. I don't know why you would stress about it.
