My sick bf is moody and all he does is snap at me... Why is this?

My bf is sick and I tried making him feel better by staying and taking care of him the other night; but he has been so moody. I tell him that I love him and suggest simple things to help get him back to his old self; instead he either ignores my texts and calls or his just says one or two words like, "mmmm," and "ya". I started to think maybe he was upset at me for something; do I asked him and instead of simply saying, "no." he snaps at me to "stop freaking out!" I don't know what his problem is. I've tried to be nothing but nice to him and all he does is get moodier. Should I just leave him alone for a few days, give him space? What should I do? Please help?

Sounds like a very lucky guy to me. All my last ex did was tell me "you're not that sick" "you're such a wimp" and still wanted me to do all the regular chores. I'm prone to migraines and I have 2 bad disks in my back from an injury. When my back flares up, I am in horrible pain for a few days like even walking is out of the question. I have to crawl. It would have been amazing to have someone half as caring as you. That's one of the main reasons she is an "ex" lol.

I think give him space until he asks for you to come around. Then when he does, you two need to have a long talk about how he treats you. Just my thoughts.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I think you should have been taken care of when you were feeling sick instead of being called names. That's not right. I hope you find a good girl that treats you with love and respect and a caring heart. Thank you for your advice, it really helped.

That is normal when people are sick. I doubt you would be loads of fun if you were suffering either. It is just one of those things that we have to learn to accept when taking care of a sick person.

I personally do not like to be talked to, messed with, or touched, when I am sick. I get do irritated (esp. If I have a cold) or if I have a bad cough. When I am in any kind if pain I don't like people talking to me... haha I don't know why. So yeah, I think that is why your bf is acting like that, because he is sick :) Just try and give him some space..

you sound insecure... one he is sick and of course he is going to be moody when sick i mean being sick sucks you can't do anything... he not upset with you he just pissed cause he is sick and maybe just wants to be left alone.. when he isn't texting you he could just be sleeping or out of it i mean im so out of it when im sick that i dont even remember someone texting me sometimes.. so its normal.. just dont think about yourself, there is nothing wrong he is just sick.. thats it

If he is seriously ill with cancer or something then you should probably just keep sympathizing for him.

However, if he just has a fever or a cold or something - it's called "man flu" You have to give him a spoon of concrete and tell him to harden the fuck up and stop behaving like a little girl. Then tell him everyone gets sick sometimes and some people die so suck it up and stop behaving like its the end of the world.

Honestly it might be just because he's sick, when I'm ill I just like to be on my own in a dark room, it's nice getting like a hug an stuff but I mostly like to be left alone to relax and sleep, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
