Generally, not much. Movies actually do more to give you two a common topic of discussion AFTER the movie, when both of you go grab drinks or something and have a chat about how holey the plot is, or stuff like that.
You can try showing him something on your handphone during the pre-showing commercials, see if he leans in close to you and touches your shoulder. Or resting your arm on the seatrest and see if he tries to grab your hand midway in the movie. And short giggles when something weird happens on screen.

Should never expect anything. Just likes guys shouldn't either. The movies is the classic "test" date. He may try and put his arms around you, in which, if you like him, you move closer so he can put his arms around you. He may also try and kiss you (though he really shouldn't). If he does, and you want to, just give it to him. Other than that, that's pretty much it. Just turn off your cell phone, refreshments are in the lobby, and enjoy the show

Hand holding, arm going around you, staring at the screen, the occasional laughter at something that happened.
In my opinion, not the best date because there isn't much interaction, it's just looking at a screen and not talking. But if you're going anyways, expect him to put his arm around you and stare at a screen and not talk.
