Why does my boyfriend ignore my text but goes on social media?

Lately my bf becoming the worst texter. He would text me the morning he wakes up and i'll reply but he won't text after that most of the time. I don't stick by my phone and wait for him, I keep myself busy, but hours and hours no reply so I would check his Twitter and he would be tweeting up a storm! I know he's usually hanging out with his friends and smoking whatever but damn, i can't help but feel blantaly ignored.

I try not to let it bother me because I have done this before to him but with him I find it so suspicious. What should I say when he replays back?

Tbh i understand what you're going through. it sometimes happens to me but not all the time. but the way i see it is that i know i'm a catch and any guy would be lucky and honoured for me to talk to them so i see it as them taking the L. sounds stuck up but i don't care. Know your worth. don't let stuff like that lower your energy or vibe. eventually when he see's you busy, ocupied doing other things to build yourself like your work, education, social life and hobbies instead of being bothered by his lack of communication skills he will eventually realise why he's not being smothered with care and attentiveness.

another situation is where you can be petty and just honestly treat them the way they treat you. not all guys make react in the same way unfortunately. some might become more distance, but for my boyfriend he easily picks up when i'm disinterested by his lack of efforts and if he says something - then simply say what's the issue lol "you do it too?" then they realise their own mistakes. this isn't full proof but it's better than appearing clingy and constantly nagging them about how they don't show effort.

I think in general guys are a bit crap at texting. but if they're active on other social media then it's no excuse. you can bring it up calmly face to face but don't have a go at him for it because he may not even realise or intentionally do it to upset you. communication is key at the end of the day. I know that i love and care my partner to the point that we don't even have to talk every single hour of the day, just adapting to our individual lives lol.
But don't wait around for a reply in my opinion - utilise your time. it's valuable. the more you make it productive. usually they've already replied by the time then.

Sounds like a waste of your time, id talk to him about it and if he blows you off I would call it quits. You deserve someone that wants to talk to you.

I'm in the same situation , I met this guy EVERYTHING was going good he would text me right when he woke up an before he went to bed I would get cute morning message like good morning beautiful something simple , make this short all of a sudden he wouldn't Hardly say a word to me no morning texts nothing if I haven't text him first I wouldn't hear from him an he sits on fb ALL day especially at work , sometimes when I text him he would ignore me until I kept sending multiple message at once he basically said I'm too clingy an spoiled an he doesn't have to talk to me every day every hour an I just want him up my ass all the time but in the BEGINNING HE was ALWAYS the one texting me first , he tells me he cares about me but sometimes I don't think he genuinely do like I do for him an the crazy part about it we're not even dating , I feel like social media an his "female friends" are more important then talking to me , it would be nice to get a good morning text , so ditch your boyfriend not Worth it

If he can sit on social media all day then he's ignoring you or just don't wanna be bothered by you now it's up to you rather or not if you wanna deal with the bs anymore
