My boyfriend doesn’t text much?

I understand that my boyfriend is often busy with work, and I respect that.
However, it's sad when I initiate conversations after his work hours, but he still doesn't respond.

Despite claiming to have a lot on his plate, I frequently see him active online.

He used to text more frequently in the beginning of our relationship.

When I bring it up he gets so angry but it doesn’t change.

This sounds like an LDR, and if it is then let me ask you this: what about his present (not past) characteristics actively show you that he is equipped for this sort of relationship? Quite specifically the distance.


You probably love him and want the relationship to work, which is absolutely fine. However when things take this sort of turn, you have to stop and ask yourself if he is currently suited to be any woman’s boyfriend in a long distance situation. Not everyone is big on texts, phone calls, and FaceTime, so if their entire relationship revolves around that then things will fall apart quickly.


I understand he’s busy, you have been very mindful and accommodating of his schedule but at the same time what sort of relationship can you continue to build when he’s not putting in the same effort? What if he is just too busy for a relationship, despite how much he likes or loves you? To top it off, if he isn’t receptive but instead defensive, then I can’t even suggest yet another conversation.


I just think you’re at a point in this relationship where you have to ask yourself some very hard questions, and be honest with yourself about how functional the relationship is or will continue to be.

I live in a very small country and he lives in the border but he works in the country that I live in.
