Is it a bad sign that my boyfriend never texts me even though he’s online?

We see each other twice a week bc I have work/school. He never texts me unless I initiate first. I ask “how was your day” he replies “good” and doesn’t ask me or how my work has been. He’s on a discord group with me and I see him writing whole paragraphs to his friends but apparently doesn’t even have a second to text me good morning. I’ve mentioned this to him before but still nothing changed.

I think that is because he talks about interesting topics with his friends and just asking how the day was isn't interesting for him enough.

Maybe he just isn't much of a texter. Me personally am not a fan of small talk either.

He said he loves me but texting gets boring sometimes (doesn’t know what to say) but proceeds to text his friends in the group chat.

Not really I assume he’s not that into me. Previous guys before always initiated a daily/night phone call check up to see if we’re okay.

You can’t base his behaviors on how other guys communicated. He still sees you irl so why don’t you feel like he likes you? It’s more likely he doesn’t understand why those daily check ins matter to you so much
