I love my boyfriend of 3 months, but I don’t feel connection when we are apart. We see each other usually twice a week but now I’m about to start classes and work we will be seeing each other less often, which my boyfriend is fine with.
I’ve texted him good morning texts a couple times to give him the hint I want to stay in touch as well as letting him know I’m thinking of him. But he goes days without texting me I always initiate conversations. I understand we need space but without ANY form of communication I’m starting to feel like I don’t even have a boyfriend that thinks about me. A simple call or text doesn’t hurt. Nothing more.
And it is not about feeling “obligated” to do so it’s about the thought…
Not to mention… he ALWAYS keeps the phone with him. We are in a group chat and I see him active online all the time. Not even a simple emoji to show he cares I always need to initiate and all I receive is a dry text. I’m not even asking for much he doesn’t need to text throughout the day but a little “hey” “good morning” or “hope you’re having a wonderful day” will just be enough to bring a smile to my face. Should I stop initiating texts and wait for him, even if it takes days?
Also he’s not “bad at texting” I’ve seen him write paragraphs to his friends!
