Noticed my guy friend only texts me when he's not with his girlfriend?

This guy i like as a friend only texts me when his not with his girlfriend, that's during weekends... we text all week, when his girlfriend visits him during the weekend he ghosts me, all replies from him stops till after she's gone ( ps. We don't flirt in texts but he claims he still has feelings for me)

We've been friends for a very long time since highschool both he and the girlfriend, so i don't know if he wants to hide the fact we still text from her coz she's a friend of mine or there's another motive (i feel used)

Please someone help?

My male friends do this too. Perfectly normal. There has to be some level of balance in the beginning. Woman don’t want to see their man texting other woman. She might not understand there is nothing romantic going on between you. It took my friends girlfriends years to grasp the concept. You have to prove it.
