Girls calling a guy "cute" means he's friendzoned/rejected?

Girls have nothing to worry about when being called "cute". Trust me, 95-99% of time when we're calling a girl "cute", it's our way of politely saying that you're hot. It's just that "hot" may creep you out or make us come across as just another one of those horny douchebags that "pump and dump", so we resort to "cute".

But is the reverse true for guys? Or is it really true that when a girl calls a guy "cute", it's her way of politely calling him ugly or at best friendzoning him.

Cute for me is the same as attractive or hot. It's just a less direct way of saying "Hey, I find you really attractive".

Cute is the safe way to tell someone you like that you find them attractive without coming on too strong.

Just like Belle1987, when i call a guy cute its because i think he's attractive. So a girl saying you're cute is definitely not her way of saying that you're in the friend-zone, but if she says that you're like a brother.. then that means you're most definitely in the friendzone. I would say it's not true. It's more of a context notion. I've been said to be very attractive and smart, but it doesn't mean a thing until a girl acts on it.

Personally for me it depends. You know, for every person words mean different things. Say, the word LOVE... some people use this word all over the place and say it to whoever they feel like. to some people it is a special word and they would use it only towards the "special" person.
the same would be with the word "cute". personally I can call my friend "cute", and I can call the same word the guy I like or flirt with. if I flirt I would use this word much more often though:)
