I think I scared him off... now what?

Long story short, I met a guy Friday and since he gave me his number we talked non stop. He always told me how different and special I am and how I would be the type of woman he would marry. We talked about all types of things including relationships and he said he was scared to date because he has bad luck finding a good girl but that I seem different. Then sex came up and I told him I would want to wait and that I dont like having sex not in a relationship and he seemed ok with it. Then yesterday, I told him that I eventually wanted to be more than friends with him and he asked me why him, and I told him. Then he said I was making it hard and I asked what he meant and all he said was never mind and ill call you later. This was yesterday at 4pm and I haven't heard back since. I called and texted a bunch of times with no response. Did I scare him off and if so, what do I do now?

So I just talked to him. He called me and said he has been having issues with his phone for some time and he thought I was not talking to him. He told me he wants a relationship but he is scared of being hurt. We will see where this conversation goes

You did nothing wrong, this guy is immature and probably has issues he's not dealing with.

Think about it, if he can't deal with the feelings brought up by you possibly wanting to be more then friends in the future with him then how are emotional conflicts in the relationship going to be handled? Very poorly would be my answer.

Well adjusted individuals can openly say what they want/need and are not afraid of what others want/need. I'm not saying he is a bad guy but if your going to date him don't have any illusions of changing him.

I think things are getting real for him. He just needs more time to process this and get use to it. Be patient.
