Husband over protective with his phone?

My husband is super over protective with his phone. He hovers over me when Im texting and well he sees whom im texting, which is fine. His phone beeped and i asked who is it? He said oh I don't know so i was looking over him and i saw people he was texting and i asked him to scroll down so i can see the rest of the people he was texting and he refused and got extremely offensive. I got really upset and i still am.

How can I respect his privacy when he doesn't respect mine and always asks who the hell im talking too? I have no problem with mutual respect but he doesn't show it either. His phone is locked by the way. He got so offensive that he got out of the car, i dont understand. I dont get like that when he asks, i actually showed him my phone and he still refused. His behaviour is what made me feel this way, i never think he cheating. I feel like he opened a can of worms by acting that way.

Yea, that doesn't sound too good. I think you're not being unreasonable in asking him to see when you did. I mean, it's only because he was so defensive with no reason that you even needed to ask him. Whatever you do next, think properly before you do it.

I totally get what you mean. It's like if you'd asked him an innocent question like "what did you do today?" just innocently wondering how his day was and he suddenly gets all panicky and flustered, stutters over his answer and just raises red flags.
Your husband gave you reason not to trust him, when you hadn't suspected a thing. You literally were sending a text with his permission and he started getting scared about what you'd see on there.
Asking him will obviously get you nowhere, but try and find out for yourself. You never know, it could just be he has a ton of p*rn on his phone and is worried about you seeing it, it doesn't necessarily have to be him talking to anybody.

You suspect him of cheating? My gf is the same thing, and goes crazy if I hide my phone or don't tell who Im texting. Respect his privacy.

I didn't suspect he was cheating until he acted this way. I showed him my phone and he still refused. Sorry im new to this site, i wrote my comment on the updated question thing

Every guy is different, just cross your fingers that he's not being unfaithful or disloyal. Look, Im attractive in person. I could go a week without taking a bath and if my gf and I go out, I guarantee you some chick is gonna stare at me and will piss off my gf. Random girls do text me, and send me some pics. I dont know how they get my number, my Facebook I guess, but they do. I don't want my gf to see that sh*t because it will stir a lot of problems. Sometimes Ill reply back to their compliments followed by a leave me a lone message and thatd be it. I trust in my gf to trust me. I keep reminding her that we have a kid together so yah.
