This guy and I text a lot and have great convos and he sends me paragraph replies and for hours. Yet in person he won't even say hi to me, even if I say hi he ignores it. Friends always catch him checking me out but he's such an ass to me. Im so confused why this is?

Sounds like a shy guy. And that ignoring thing, yeah that's probably because he's nervous around you. Hopefully he'll find a burst of confidence and finally talk to you. That's my guess on the matter at least.

Shy guys get nervous around people that they're attracted too. It's nothing against who you are or how friendly one is, its how he is. I know that if I really like someone that I can talk to them, but I get really awkward sometimes and find it hard to speak. Unless he's an ass then he is most likely a shy guy who likes you.

Probably because he sees them only as friends. He might see you as more. I'm not saying to go balls deep into this but at least see if he can grow some. I do think that he's nervous. I almost passed out one time when I asked a girl to homecoming so I know the feels.
