What does it mean when a guy compares you to his mother?

I like this guy and he has made comments about his mother and I having the same items or eating the same way, etc... He even made a subtle comment kinda comparing how his parents relationship is with how ours is (working together). I've never met his parents because they live in another state, but I know he has a good relationship with them and respects them a lot. What does he mean by these comments?

I think it's fine to a degree, and it can actually be quite a great sign. If he sees positive similarities between your guys' relationship and his parent's relationship, then that's awesome.

If he continually compares you to his mother and it weirds you out, then obviously that's not ok, and I think it'd weird out anyone if done too much.

It's a good thing. It's said, that guys and girls are looking
for their parents, in their partners, since it's "comfortable"
and "close to home" I guess.

You should take it as a compliment, sort of, like he's
saying he's comfortable with you, and as you said, he respects
his parents, so he respects you too. ^.^

On one hand it sounds like a compliment, he's comparing you to someone he loves and respects. But on the other hand I feel like it means he doesn't see you in a romantic or sexy way since he obviously wouldn't see his mother that way. Maybe he means it in the former context and is intending it to sound like a compliment.
