No, it doesn't matter, really; both are destructive. It's just that judging them and disdaining them for their vices will likely make them turn harder towards those vices. If you want someone to stop doing a "harmful" behavior (although some people may say consensual sex isn't harmful, I'd personally think it'd depend on the situation, but I digress), you usually catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. I'm not saying running away from pain is okay, but it's understandable. His friend should be supportive and help him find fulfillment in other ways. Then he'd have less need for a "rampage." On the other hand, she could call him a douche, man-whore, or other thing, and he'd likely respond, "Screw you! You don't know what this is like," and go back to Tinder.

However I think it kinda cheapens the value of sex. Like say hypothetically I dated a girl and took the time to get to know her, open up to her and put my trust in her, and waited like a month or two for sex.
