Guy friend gets quiet when I bring up other guys?

i've known this guy for a while, and he's probably my best guy friend. i liked him when i first met him but i found out he had a gf and moved on. recently, my friends have been setting me up on a couple blind dates and we were talking about it in class and i guess he over heard and started asking like "who?" "when?" and got really quiet/upset and left. my question is, why do you think he gets quiet when i bring up other guys? he has a girl friend, so i don't see why he should stress over or care enough to get upset and leave?

He likes you, I had a friend like that, exact same situation... I just had to distance myself from him because, even if I had started to like him like that again I wouldn't want to date him because, wanting another women while you're with someone else and not breaking it off with that person is not okay in my book.. it's cheating.

yeah i just don't know what to do. he's very touchy and flirty with me, but he's generally a friendly guy... my best friends told me that many people have asked them if him and i were a thing. he seems to be really in love with his girl friend so this whole situation is just weird for me.

He likes you. That's a clear sign. I do the same thing when the person I like talks about other people. He probably doesn't want to give it away bc he has the gf so maybe that's why he leave. But the getting upset and leaving is a clear sign.

3 times now... he does playfully flirt with me and touch me but i thought it just as a friend thing, but many others have noticed this and some were kind of in shock when they found out he had a girlfriend because of how he is with me.

Yea girl, he clearly likes you! He wouldn't be acting like that if he didn't. I'd casually ask him. Like "why'd you leave like that the other day?"

honestly... i think things would work out really well between us but i just do not know how i feel about him flirting with me while he is in a relationship. i wouldn't want him to flirt with other girls while he is with me y'know? but i do slightly like him. At the end of the day he is still in his relationship and i will never pursue him

Right. He needs to figure that out because it's obvious that he has feelings for you. And if he's planning on ever pursuing you then he needs to end things with her.

i gotta talk to him about it eventually but i don't know because i don't want to ruin our friendship.

Regardless of if he has a girlfriend, if a guy likes/has a crush on you it probably bothers him as to why you would speak to him about other guys. (most likely)

lol it definitely is, but think about the relationship he has with his gf. Do they have a pretty good relationship? because if not he could just be going out with her for the sake of going out with her, or various other reasons, but he may actually like you.

If you guys are good friends, you should really talk to him about this. Next time you start talking about other guys, and he goes silent as him why right there and you should get a decent answer guaranteed. (or at least an honest one lol)

i don't know i have never met him girlfriend. he acts like he's fine, plus he doesn't really keep him having a girlfriend a secret. he openly talks to me about her but i feel like he's just trying to make me jealous which i have no idea why nor is it working but i will talk to him n see. thanks!

It seems like you two are playing games and just messing with each other’s heads lol so yes, the best thing to do to avoid wasting time and complicating the situation further (especially since you said he tries to make you jealous) is to talk to him and ask if he likes you. Good luck!

It doesn't necessarily mean that he wants a relationship with you. I have a gf now and Ik it's unfair but I'm afraid that when my female best friend gets a bf that we won't get to hang out like usual. There'd be no more us. I'm afraid that I'd my best friend
