Why does my ex boyfriend get quiet when I talk about other guys?

Just to be clear, my ex dumped me. We spent about a year not talking and then we became friends again. We were best friends before we started dating so I'm happy we're friends.

I have zero feelings for him anymore.

I figured we could talk like any other friends talk, right? But I'm having problems with a guy that I'm half dating and I was whining about it. He was lively before but just kind of went quiet and tried to change the subject.

I doubt he still has feelings for me but why would he do this?

Even though you do not have feeling for the guy anymore, he still has feelings for you. He hates when you talk about other men. I bet if you showed some interest in him he would take you back in a second. He is jealous that all these guys get to spend quality relationship time together which makes him remember what you two had in the past. Kind of like lighting up an old flame that he had for you but only goes one way.

He still has feelings. Just because someone dumps you doesn't mean they no longer want you it's just a decision they made at the time. The not talking for a year may have been the result of being afraid of contacting you again. Trust me men have zero issues talking about your boy troubles when they aren't interested in you.

He may still like you in some way. But hat is the alternative to being quiet? Probably speaking. What would/should he say if you are talking about another guy? Maybe he is quiet because he is listening as you speak.

its called jealously! when a guy likes a guy he feels the need to protect what he values so its not a bad sign really it just means he actually really likes you :)
