My boyfriend hurt me when he was drunk. PLEASE HELP?

My boyfriend and I have recently rented an apartment which would be our first home together He is so excited about moving in and always tells me how awesome it would be to live together. I have lost my mother 8 months ago very suddenly and have yet to move from my family home as I have college exams and surgery coming up before I finally move in. We have been together for about 2 and a half years and we have known each other since we were 15.. Anyways.. We had a housewarming party to celebrate the new adventure with our good friends.. We drank in the house with our friends and went out for a pub crawl with them...
My boyfriend became ridiculously drunk even before we hit the pubs and as we were about to leave the first bar we had all gathered outside and everyone except my boyfriend was there.
I went back to find him and let him know that we were leaving and heading to a different pub..
He was talking to a friend of his that I didn't know..
I told him we were leaving.. He quickly grabbed me by my hair very tightly. I couldn't move.. He then shouted in my ear "I KNOW " and pushed me into the wall across the bar.. I hit off a few people when it happened also. He has never done this before.. I feel completely humiliated scared and I don't know if I should break up with him or not. He's all apologies and flowers and very emotional about it because when he woke up the next day he had no clue that he had done it... I have no idea what to do.. I'm still sore from him being so rough with me. PLEASE HELP :(

is he truly apologetic? only if he is, continue being in a relationship with him,.. otherwise don't settle

you might want to take things slow... in order to think rationally, it'd be better if you stayed at your parents' place for sometime...
sometimes when we start feeling safe in a relationship, we are blinded by its many flaws. and by the time we realise that, it's too late. i repeat, think rationally, and don't settle...
i have not seen you both interact, i don't know if this incident can be ignored, or separated and scrutinised, it is up to you

take some time, and keep some distance, and think if the guy is worth looking past the incident
it shouldn't happen again... even if he is drunk... make that crystal clear to him

If this is a real question I suggest you pack your stuff and leave now. Lots of domestic violence starts like this and then turns into something more violent. A guy even if he is drunk will not touch a woman like this if he wasn't already fucked up in th head.

Lol just lol at people using being drunk as an excuse. I can't believe some girls below that said "he was drunk." Seriously? Smh. Break up with him now. There needs to be certain rules and guidelines that you don't tolerate and this should be one of them.

its the beginning of an abusive relationship and that is why you are confused on what to do. if you guys live together and his hasn't happemed all the time, the i totally i understand why it may be difficult deciding if you should leave. other people judging you just dont understand but i do. m ex was abusive but i left a couple months after him doing stuff to me so luckly it didn't get that bad. this is abusive and these types of tempers dont go away. even when it may stop for a while like a month or two you are still going to be in fear and these things can really stay on your mind. it not healthy. if you are having a hard time leaving please get couceling, so you can understand why it may be so hard to get yourself to finally leave
