Guys, is wearing suit and tie really so uncomfortable?

If it isn't the right size in sleeve and collar yeah it really makes you feel like a monkey in a suit your choked or annoyed by the sleeves. The jacket can also make you look fat if the size is wrong my first suit made me look like I had a fat ass because the jacket was too short
It's pretty restricting. The tie really does make the neck uncomfortable after a few hours and you have limited arm movement in a suit because of the arm hole location and padding on the shoulder.
I have never worn a suit like the one you've described. Are we talking cheap suits?
@CorruptedDocument all suits have padding in the shoulders cheap and designer. That's why if you lift your arms up and make a t shape with your body the padding does this

No suit I have ever worn has had padded shoulders, just a spine to keep it straight.

i would think if you have to wear it everyday for work it might become quite annoying. ;) i wear my jeans and leather jacket on my way to work so I don't know how suit and tie must be like for work lol
wearing a suit is not a problem for me... but i don't like wearing a tie, it feels like someone is choking you, most probably your girlfriend.. so it's kind of dangerous!!!
Lol. But I wore tie once when I was little. It didn't feel like choking.
Is it possible that you wore it to tight?
It can be, especially around the neck. It's tight and if you shave it causes a rash by rubbing over it all the time. Other than that I think suits are pretty comfy.
Because the shirt is tight and the tie around the neck even more so. It's not a choice - it's just what happens. That is what makes it uncomfortable.
But I suppose if you really want to you could also rub a suit into your beard-to-be lol. Not sure what the advantages of that would be :D
Haha no, its not that bad, but sure, it takes some getting used to and it does restrict what you can do as you can imagine
I don't have any problem with a suit
But the tie... it's like you're hanging yourself... I can't describe it better
If it is hot like it normaly is here in ca then yes it is.
so I don't get another stalker thinking that I live in the OC because I live in california.
Only when you forget what you're wearing lol
That's a tux, suits are comfy.
It's all about what makes them up, a tux has multiple layers which allow for little range of movement. Whereas a suit is more open and comfortable to move around in, being less restrictive.
Of course I pick out and wear only comfortable stuff, so maybe I don't understand this.
Yes it is.
Yes, it is.
