Does this Gemini guy hate me now?



So I'm a Capricorn ( in Venus ) and i kinda like my best guy friend , he happens to be a Gemini. Ww understand each other really well untill this week... Sooooo i was ina teens camp with him and friends of both us there he meet a girl he really liked , I was happy for him and didn't want to come between them so I hanged out with others. ... a few days later she fell in love with another guy and my friend ( Shay ) was kinda sad she was a Libra. Shay would text me often after what happened but I could not reply because the internet was slow. There was one night that my girls and I told secrets and I told them that I liked Shay , the next days they told him that I liked him in my presence I was so embarrassed when he told everyone ( his friends and mine ) that he didn't care anyway that he'd never love me in a 1000 year then he walked away with his basketball. I didn't come out that day I was too embarrassed. The next day I gnored everything to me everything was back to normal at least I thought soay wouldn't talk to me , he'd pretend like I was not there hed only talk to my friends. I didn't know what was wrong with him I should have been the one not talking not him , a friend of mine said that Shay didn't care anyway so why should he ignore me we were bff's. I texted him but he didn't reply till now , I don't know what is wrong he doesn't like me back and it's ok we can still be friends right? I just keep giving him more and more space, but he shy's off more
