How can I get my boyfriend to stop babying me?

I like to do things myself and he naturally babies me. I told him to stop and he said that he tries but every time I look at him feels the need to protect me. I have quite large eyes, a really innocent looking face, and am kinda short. How can I make him stop? Please help me.

Eeeeee I am tiny and I look very young too! I had this issue! Errrrrr. I wish I could help you... All I did was kept saying stuff like "I can do it, it's okay" or "ugh it has me feel helpless when you do that or this" It can be very irritating blah! I still struggle with my best guy friend doin that, but I don't struggle with my boyfriend that did this, because we are not together anymore.

I just repeated myself very much, it is helping with my best guy friend. Because then after... Soooooooo many times, it could possibly make them think before they act, since then it'll allow them to see that we are not a baby lol. :) and not THAT innocent. ;P

You understand! It is terrible. I do repeat over and over but that's how any male is with me and even some females and it isn't a fun thing to deal with.

I do! Most males treat me that way too, and females! Am actually so happy you understand too lol. :) it has me feel inferior.
I just keep repeating, there is not a lot you can do, since it is them acting that way.

my boyfriend used to do that too but then this boy at school tried to molest me and I broke his nose. My boyfriend walked up ass soon as his nose was spewing blood everywhere :s Just make him watch you chops some logs or something lol

Why don't you just tell him you'd like him to start treating you less like a baby and more like your age? If you were a young adult, you'd have no problem with letting him know how you want things to be versus just putting up with it.

I have two dogs that are pretty young that I usually take to his place. He absolutely loves them and spoils them but it doesn't change our relationship.

It really bothers me because every guy does it. I'm not incompetent and that is how they treat me. Just because I am short and don't look super mature doesn't mean I can't do things. I am that one that if I can't open a jar and I have tried everything I will find something else to eat or use and not ask for my boyfriend to open it. I hate being helped.

I'd seriously talk to him about it (even though I'm sure you already have) and state that it is creating a problem in your relationship and could continue to distance the two of you. I dunno if that works completely given your situation, but don't be afraid to overstate the problem if that's what it takes.
