Way too controlling. I've seen it before, it'll get worse. Soon he'll get angry when you look at other guys, then if other guys look at you. I knew a guy once who wouldn't let his girlfriend go to a volleyball game because other guys would be there and might look at her.
Either you trust the person you're with, or you don't. Simple as that.

He sounds super insecure and afraid you'll meet someone better. He thinks you're fickle.
A little controlling, you boyfriend shouldn't be giving/with holding permission for anything (unless it's to do with your relationship only but it's not) he cannot tell you what to do, it seems he's easily jealous and takes it too far. You can have whatever friendships you want, girl and guy , as long as you're purely friends.
