Guys, why do you reply with short and blunt texts?

I don't know if it's his personality or him being European, but whenever I text him, he always replies back with short and blunt answers. I'm quite a happy and positive person, so it shows in my texts... just not sure if this guy just doesn't like texting me? Even though he has shown signs that he likes me in person.

Texting ruins lives. So much gets misinterpret and lost through text. I try not to have to many deep combos via text, I don't care how long it takes you to respond. So long as you RESPOND! Ignoring text messages is rude, especially of that's our chosen means of communication. I hate it.

If he likes you in person, then stop stressing about it. Now if he stops texting all together that's a problem.

Guys aren't like us... They don't care much for texting... My man has always given the shortest replies he can but face to face or over the phone he's got loads to say. Don't worry too much about it especially if he likes you in person. It's just how guys are. I've been with my man for 3 years now and he loves me to bits but he'll still give short replies.

I'd think something was wrong or he lost interest but I'd ask him straight out and he'd say no and I know that if there was an issue he's the type to speak out. I know guys don't see texting the way we do. He'll take hours to reply when he's at work but I know it doesn't mean he doesn't love me...

It has nothing to do with him being european. Unless he isn't well versed in English or is receptive and polite to people in general.

Maybe tell him? And see how he reacts to it to improve his tone of expression?

Texting is so boring to me. Plus I hate typing on those stupid little touch-pad keyboards. I liked the alphanumeric keypads more where you just hit like 5 three times to put in 'o'.

Mostly when I text, it's to arrange meeting someone face-to-face. I don't want to have a conversation with someone on my mobile phone. A call is still better than texting to me.

some guys are just short and blunt. doesn't need to mean anything. It could be worse. look at me, and my questions and replies! I go on for hundreds of words! thousands of characters! to say what other people could say in 5 words or less. Imagine if that was how he was, and every reply from him meant you had to read an entire essay!

Texting with a girl is often like trying to navigate a minefield it's just too easy for something to be misinterpreted by some girl who's over analyzing every single little word and most guys have experienced situations where everything went to hell just because of a misinterpreted text. So consequently most guys now try to text as little as possible. That's even the advice that we give each other. If women weren't so overly scrutinizing, men would text a lot more.

Some guys, and girls too, just don't care much about texting. I text people if I want to get my point across quickly. If I want a conversation, I'll call or meet in person. Don't overthink it.
