Why does my old flame lock eyes with me when he sees me?

Okay I shouldn't care but I can't help it. There is a guy I dated for a half year but I ended it. He was sad about it. It was a bitter ending but I was angry, I had my reasons. Trust me. It's a little more than a half year ago since I left and whenever I see him now he lock eyes with me and just really stare. He squints. It's really obvious. I turned around once and I caught him sitting just staring at me with that look, he doesn't look away but I have to look away. He used to greet me but now he does this, it makes me somewhat uncomfortable. I still having feelings for him and I don't know why.. I am happily seeing someone else and he is seeing someone else too but damn when he does that it just reminds me of what we had, I start thinking about him. Why is he doing that?
