Hand hug? What was the meaning behind it?

I was talking to this guy for a while. When we were saying goodbye, he put his hand up so I gave him a high five, which I thought was weird, but then he wrapped his thumb around my hand to turn it into a hand hug. Our hands stayed like that for several seconds, but then I got really shy and broke the eye contact and looked away. Do you think he was planning to kiss me and the hand hug was some kind of pre-move? He then let our hands fall together down to our waists and then let go.

Never heard of a hand hug. No one really knows if he wanted to kiss you, except for him. If you felt it was a good moment between you and enjoyed it than that's all that matters ;)
