Boyfriend making jokes at my expense?

I used to just take it but its starting to get really annoying. When its just us two alone he will treat me like gold, but when were out in public he usually makes stupid jokes. For example i was talking to a sales assistant about a face mask and he cuts in and says 'will it fix her face?' and you could tell the sales assistant felt really uncomfortable and he just looked at me like wtf? My boyfriend thinks this is funny. Its a poor excuse for a joke. His that unsociable that he has to make jokes at others expense to seem somewhat 'funny.' Or say we buy something at maccas he will say to the cashier 'thats all she's worth, a cheeseburger' or something like that -.-

That isn't the first time. His done it a few times, most things i can joke about but there's a time and a place and i believe you shouldn't put down your partner. You should treat them with respect.

Im not talking to him right now because honestly i just dont care, his calling me saying sorry but i dont give a fuck to be honest. I just want him to leave me alone.

I had a boyfriend who would "joke" about how stupid I was, or how bad of a driver I was, or how I didn't know how to handle anything and overreact all the time in front of his friends. I eventually got fed up with it and he played it off as "just joking", but it's not funny when you put your girlfriend down to impress your friends. One day he said, "Oh my God, you're so stupid, you overreact over everything, that's not going to happen, you idiot!" It really pissed me off that he treated me with such disrespect, so I said, "Shut up and don't talk to me that way. That's bullshit and you know it." He then got really defensive and pouted about it for a week. I tried to tell him that I really didn't appreciate the disrespect and that I didn't want it to happen again, but then that turned into a competition of who is the most horrible person and who's done the most wrong things. That, along with some other issues we had, is what convinced me I needed to leave him. I'm not saying that that's the route you need to go though, but maybe you should tell him how that makes you feel and how it's disrespectful and not funny.

Not talking to him won't help, you need to have a discussion with him about this kind of stuff and that you feel hurt when he's making jokes about your appearance in front of strangers. Not only is that awkward to the strangers since they don't know you and don't know how to respond to a joke like that, but it's also really disrespectful to you to be saying stuff like that to random people.
So yeah, talk to him about it and tell him to stop doing stuff like that. If he doesn't stop, ask yourself if this is something you can put up with or if you want to break up with him.

He doesn't have bad intentions, I think a little teasing in the relationship is nice and the joke with the face mask was funny XD

But if it upsets you so much talk to him about it and if he stills doesn't change his behaviour in public then break up with him

I think his just trying to be funny, but has no idea how to go about it. Or even worst that's his sense of humour. Crude, very crude to dark humour.

He is trying to tease you but he is doing it todally wrong. When your teasing a girl it is supost to be a fun thing that she does. Like my female freinds were teasing me about me being to skinny. The food came and I did not want to eat because I was not feeling well. The girl I like teased me along with the others to eat but she did it in a more threating way. Like if you don't eat it I will shove it down your throat. Coming from her that threw me off and I gave in. The joke is on her though because I gave her my cold that night. Anyways I expect that from her sister not from her. So the next time we went there I teased her about it by ordering and pointing it out that I'm eating without her shoving it down my throat. It made her blush that I remembered that and that I would bring it up again and tease her about it. When you tease a girl it has to be in a fun or uplifting way. You can't treat them like you do the guys. Guys tease each other by insulting each other you can't do that with a woman. Talk to your boyfreind about it. Remind him that he should not be treating his girl like one of the guys.

Fuck the mask I would find that funny as fuck if I had a girlfriend that said that when I was buying a paintball mask or something. I usually like to tease who I'm dating, it's best when they do it back. Do it one on one though as well, cheeseburger thing doesn't sound as funny. Probably wouldn't do it in public as much unless someone was a third wheel and didn't want it to be too awkward!

sure, he might be antisocial or awkward or just might not know how to talk to people but that's not an excuse to make jokes at your expense. i'd never say something like that to my partner or about my partner -- it's just complete shit.

i suggest talking to him. communicating that this isn't cool could really help. he might not realize that he's being so disrespectful. still an asshole thing to do, though.
