What does it mean when a guy calls you adorable?

So a guy I know loves to say this. Whenever I get scared he always says or texts something along the lines of "awe! You're so adorable!". Someone took a picture of me sleeping and sent it to my friends as a joke and he said "Aw! That's so cute!!" This happens all. The. Time.
I'm pretty sure he likes me but I'm not positive.

Is is he just teasing?
