Much older coworker called me cute?

So I have a coworker who is probably close to 30 years older than me (I'm 20) who has kind of taken me under his wing. He knows that I'm in school so I can eventually have the same job as him, so he will let me watch what he does sometimes and will occasionally take time out of his work day to show me different things that are used in this career field. So the other day I was walking past and was smiling, as I am won't to do, and he asked jokingly what I was up to. I replied that I was just walking past. He then smiled and said that I just thought I could smile and look cute and get away with anything, didn't I? I just laughed and said something like that, but it felt weird. Does that seem weird to anyone else?

Much older? Lol when he turns 70, you'll be 60. When he turns 40, you'll be 30. Your dating pool size will only get smaller as females get older. Why? Females don't age well.

Reread the question, I said around 30 years OLDER. He's late 40's/early 50's.
