My crush is a shy guy (to most girls) and I know he doesn't make any first moves around his crushes. Though he's not shy in class or to his male friends, and he acts normal and friendly and continues conversations to some of my loud girl classmates.
I was walking home and my crush is walking behind me. Later on, he walked next to me on my right but he was looking back at something. He walked to my right, where there's little space, and there's massive space on my left. There is also lots of space at the front if he was just overtaking, but I know he wasn't.
Basically he walked next to me without saying anything first.
Once he was next to me, he didn't walk faster or slower, but just the same pace as me. I was expecting this to happen because he did this too the other day, but I was too nervous to say hi and his car drive around the corner and got picked up. As he walked up to my right, he was looking back at something behind us, but his face was facing me. I said "hey" and he didn't say anything back cause he was still looking back, and he may not have heard me.
Then immediately I asked "what electives did you choose". He answered nicely but didn't ask anything back. I asked a few more questions like where he was walking to. He answered them nicely but never asked anything back. He never even smiled. His face was just blank. He's quiet for the rest of the time until he said "see you Alexandra" when he reached the point he usually crosses the road to.
I don't know if he has a crush on me but based on tests I took on youtube, he does, he's just shy to make the first move. And i sort of believe it. I caught him staring at me a few times but didn't look away.
So here's my confusion.
why didn't he ask me anything back? Why did he walk next to me? Why didn't he say anything? And remember, he did this too the other day.

Today, i came out a little later on our last period as i was getting stuff. Everyone left including my crush. When I walked down to walk home, he was walking around (coming from the opposite way he usually walks to) the bit where kids wait for their rides. He was sort of slowing down and stopping, and looking at me. He saw me and stopped in a walking position but then my friend came and we walked, and he just continued walking. What'd u think? he was doing it casually. What do you think?
