Why did my crush walk fast to get beside me and infront of me?

I was walking super slow to see if my crush would do anything and before I reached the place he had to go (I knew he could be behind me but I knew he was far behind) all of a sudden I see him speed walking to get beside me and walk right infront of me, as in walked super fast to get in my view and walk beside me. what does this mean or why?
