Why do males prefer video games over females?

Because we can be a pain! Literally. Even I can't stand most girls today with all the drama, gossiping, who's dating who, who's screwing who, etc. Girls can be far more emotional and cause a guy to stress out than if he wasn't dating. Especially dating these days. I play video games too. And would rather work, play video games, hang out with friends and family etc over dating any day. Yes, relationships are as beautiful as we decide to make it, but get with the wrong kind of people and it's hell. Men can't handle all of that stress. And they handle it differently. In fact, if you want a certain type of guy, hope that what your asking is not another woman. Because men aren't women, and are very different than us. If you learn male language, men will learn to appreciate you more. But most girls presented in some video games is of the old ways in which in today's society is hard to come by. That is the kind of woman a real man need's, not a woman who inspires to be prostitute [even for him], or basically have sex with him like one even in relationships, though men will use a girl for that reason. Plus, video games won't reject him unless it shut's off. ^^

Well, it depends on the type of video game you are referring to. There are ones with violence, horror, mystery, animated sex, fantasy, and more. Females like video games, but, when it comes to themes such as warfare and shootings, I think males like them more because of their desire to shoot things. During real wars, how often do you see a female soldier? Most of the participants are male, so perhaps that is part of human nature.

In video games, you can do anything. You can blow stuff up, kill people, solve mysteries, go to a wonderful fantasy world, have animated sex, and overall escape from life. The options are limitless. While girls are busy trying to make themselves attractive, men are sitting in front of a TV or computer screen and tapping away at their controllers. Instead of fixing their current life, men prefer to just tune out the world altogether.

I mean, why not? Why not play video games? When the world cannot get you what you want, video games can make you pretend that you have it.

(I know, I'm jumping around from topic to topic. There is so much to explain and so little time/energy to do it in.)

It's because video games are one of the very few things still left in the world that have not been completely soiled by the hands of women. Those feminists like Anita Sarkeesian are desperately trying to ruin it but I don't think they ever will.

In video games, we can easily ignore everything around us for something much more entertaining, and if we get screwed over, it's only $60 or so that we actually wasted. Kids play video games because they haven't noticed girls yet, but older guys play video games (especially if they're married or in a relationship) to escape women and the dramatic reality that has been created for them to live in.

I was into video games when I was younger, then I started noticing girls, and now I'm back into giving more of my attention to video games. I learn from my mistakes. You should try video gaming, there's lots of guys who would love a chick who is more open about video games.

dating on other hand, you probably have to date counselor or have a counselor friend (trauma)
some female, they just leave the moment you said about your struggle, which is cool ad later in life once they reach 30s,40, they probably be beggin for male.
in my country, after female divorce him, she get alimony, child support money from male (if she have a child).
female has advantage when it come to dating, some how some good female is with bad male.
