Why is a guy suddenly so mean to you?

There's a guy I first talked to online and he was funny and nice. We then met up in college and during first week or so he was teasing but funny and had meals together with other friends. Then after one night he suddenly started to become SOOO mean. He would ignore my messages or tease me in the weirdest things like my username. I tried to talk to him but all he does is be mean. But one time he kept calling me on snapchat until I picked up and all he would say is hey so how are you or what's up. Then when I said I'm in lounge studying he visited later to give me high five. So confused why is he so mean and does stuff like that but mean again?

Guys have moods, just like girls do. I wouldn't take it personally. I was on a date with this girl last week, we met through mutual friends last year but hadn't seen each other in a while. I was CRAZY about her last year, I really liked her. But anyway I guess I just wasn't feeling it that day and she kept talking and I was thinking "Does this girl ever shut up?" I almost even said it. It was really mean, but when you're tired just feeling crappy in general, sometimes you can be a little mean. Thankfully I wasn't mean to her, I was just quiet and I apologized afterwards for being a little distant because I knew she was just trying to be nice and friendly.

But it certainly doesn't mean he doesn't like you, you can see that. He still very much likes you, but sometimes he may not just be feeling it. But be careful of that, you don't want a guy who can't control his emotions. It's really respectable when someone can be going through shit and still have a smile on their face and be nice.

usually when iam nice to a girl and i act it mean it could mean one of few things, she showed interest and agreed to going out with me or something and then flaked or acted we're friends even though i made it clear i am not interested in a friendship.

or she did something that really hurt me such as being mean to me, or showing interest in me and them going with another guy.

Reasons why he is mean: 1. He likes you and he loves teasing you and play hard to get

2. He is maybe joking, maybe you missunderstood him

3. Maybe your brain is tricking you into thinking that he is mean but he is not

4. That happens me! TRUST ME, I HAD CRUSHES ON GIRLS AND BOYS AND THEY WERE ACTING LIKE THIS. It's normal, some people can't see their own behavior. So just take a little breath from him.

My theory (this is just my theory, a scenario that could probably be true but doesn't have to be this one) is that he thinks that you cheated and now he prob knows it's false. A friend probably told him that.
