Guys: Why would a guy keep acting mean towards me?

So there is a guy at my gym, pretty much we see each other everyday because we have the same coach. At first I was always greeting him and being polite because we literally work out in the same field everyday. Anyway, at first he would greet me but then he started avoiding me and acting distant, I thought he might be busy bc he is always on his phone. So today, one of my soccer balls landed on his side of the field and he didn’t pass it back (like he was right in front of it and looked up to me and yet he didn’t pass it back). So when I went to get it, one of his balls landed on my side of the field and I looked at him and passed back the ball to him…but he just looked at me and turned away to pretended he didn’t see me giving it back and said nothing.. not even a thank you. I don’t expect to get his attention, but I am curious to know why would a guy act this way when I’m being nice and polite to him? Why would he be mean?

He doesn’t care. He isn’t being unfriendly. He just wants nothing to do with you. He would rather completely ignore you.

I ignore people sometimes myself. Why the hell should I talk to you and smile and chat? I just want to be left alone. Just like that guy.

Why?

So people asking me to take some survey or sign up for some product, the free sample ladies in the grocery stores, the bums on the street asking for change, some creepy person hitting on me in a bar, I have to speak to them and engage them in conversation? Why?

I just walk past them. I don’t want to talk to you, I’m a total stranger to you, and I don’t want to know you.

One reason I can see is a jealous girlfriend. She picked him up or some other way saw you and put him in one of those "don't you dare talk with her..." situations.

Another is he felt you got too close or touchy and is just trying to stay away... especially if you are a hugger type. Guys have problems setting boundaries with women as many women just don't get clues and or think that they can get touchy because they are women so it's easier to go cold.

Duh, he's not interested in you!! People can sense when you like them, your energy might be too masculine and your turning him off. Or he's GAY..

But that doesn't explain the blatant rudeness and lack of manners that he's showing towards you. Forget about him, find new people to make friends with.

He is a weird Pokemon may be you missed saying hi to him that one day now he is hurt and wants your attention but doesn't show any friendly vibes, you should ignore whatever he is doing and greet him the same way you do to anyone around there
