My boyfriend wants me to change my appearance?

I have been with him for a year and a half now. And from the beginning he has always made comments about my appearance and put it as a joke I would just laugh it off, never really took any of it to heart at that point. Bur recently he has been getting worse he really wants me to gain weight to increase my breast size as I am a slim girl with 34B chest but he's always like make them bigger etc, and the other day when we were at the movies a girl came on with very large breasts and he said make them like that. then when I got upset about it he's says he was just joking which is why he laughed after he said it. Before I met him I was a very confident outgoing bubbly person but I don't even feel nice anymore. I get other guys telling me they think I'm really pretty but he never has I just don't know what to do anymore I've lost so much of my confidence and after he complained about my chest I just can't focus on anything.

Your boyfriend is being a controlling, manipulative jerk. He has no right to tell you what to do with your body. It's YOURS, not his.

Him always making comments and you always allowing them to slide and putting them off as a joke just gave him the go-ahead to continue degrading you. He sees that you aren't strong enough to stand up for yourself and he's going to keep it that way by badgering you. It's emotional abuse.

And even if you did gain weight for him (which I strongly suggest you don't), there's no guarantee the weight will appear in your breasts. That's just stupid logic right there.

I advise you break up with this tool. It's a year and a half of your life wasted. Get out and move on. You deserve much, much better.

it sounds like he has a lot of insecurities, and putting them onto you, he sounds very jealous...not good... do not change who you are for anyone...he sounds very controlling, and it would be good for you to gain some perspective of how valuable you are by distancing yourself from him a little, as I feel he is playing games with you...do not compare yourself to anyone else, you are special, and have very attractive qualities, by the way you get attention from other men, there is nothing wrong with who you are...its him that needs to change...this is from someone who knows...

thats pretty low, he should love you for who you are, and not what you look like ESPECIALLY after a year and a half. if I was you I would tell him " no I won't change my appearance because I am who I am, I like myself and if you don't like it then I don't know what to tell you". I'm sure your a beautiful girl that people would die to be with and wouldn't complain about your appearance one bit. stay confident don't let him bring you down. hope this helps, best of luck
