Why did he friendzone me?

Me and this guy have been spending time together for a few months. When we hang out together we have a great time and he is always laughing and smiling in my company.

I asked him recently what he felt about me and he went very flustered and started stuttering and repeating himself. He went very embarrassed and said that he enjoys spending time with me and wants to continue hanging out with me. He also said that at one point he was thinking 'should I kiss her'

But then he said 'i hope you still want to hang out with me after tonight'

Why did he say after he said he wanted to kiss me and then friend-zone me?

Oh boy, look, listen. No such thing as the friend zone. Get it out of your head. Your more concerned over the fact that he mentioned about kissing you and that he didn't. If you're interested in him, you should just speak up about it. How do you expect for him to say anything about being more than just friends when you asked a 'friendly' question: "How do you feel about me?" Anybody would be shocked to hear that because normally people wouldn't think it. Plus he's very shy. And even if he kissed you, sometimes it's because of the 'spear of the moment'. So you need to be more direct about this and tell him that you're interested in a romantic relationship with him. Plus he reacted that way because he was scared and nervous. He may not be ready for that kind of relationship right now.

He seems shy. Stick around a bit more and see what happens. Now don't just hangout with him. See other people and tell him when you do. He will either try to win you over or let you go and that would spare wasting more time if it's going no where.

I don't see the part where he friend zone you? did you leave something out? If you're talking about this kiss thing that more of I'm not sure if she would be OK with this or not so he didn't do it. He got flustered when you ask that question because things were going smoothly and now he feels like you want something more and maybe he not ready for that

Sounds shy and nervous. Next time you see him, tell him you have a surprise for him and ask him to close his eyes. Then kiss him. That should get you out of the friend-zone if you are even inside of one at the moment.
